I shouldn’t have left, but I had no choice.

He loves someone else. Of course he’s moved on. The proof is standing right there next to him with her arm snaked through his.

Olivia: 

I had to leave six months ago, and I knew when I came back, things would be different. I even expected that Gabriel would have moved on from me.

From us.

What I wasn’t prepared for was how much it was going to hurt. Seeing him happy is really all I want. Even if it isn’t with me.

But I have things to look forward to as well. I’m in the market for a new home, starting back at my old job, hanging out with my two best friends, and maybe someday I’ll move on in my love life.

Maybe.

It just won’t be with him.

Gabriel: 

She left and when she did, she broke my heart. All I wanted to do was protect her. Running a billion-dollar security company, you’d think I could do that. But, in the end, I couldn’t and so she left.

I suppose I don’t blame her. I just wish I knew where she was; that she was safe, happy even.

Just when I think things are getting back to some semblance of normalcy, duty calls once again. Being the oldest and the CEO, I feel the weight of our family name on my shoulders, and I’ve never had to rely on my brothers before, but now it's different.

Now it's life or death. It’s for our future. My future. My love.
